Only naturally, we thought we’d begin by offering three reasons to eat at the restaurant we know best: our own. Though this review could certainly be viewed as biased, we will try to remain as objective as possible and offer three reasons we’re often told are the best to dine with us.

1. Outdoor Patio
Voted as Best Outdoor Dining in the 2011 Best of Louisville Awards, our patio is one of the things people rave most about. Separated from Bardstown Road by a tall wrought iron fence, Avalon’s patio offers privacy from the bustle of the Bardstown Road stretch while remaining a great spot for people watching, and on summer weekend evenings, live music enhances the overall patio dining experience.

2. Nightly Specials
There are easy ways to save money at Avalon every night of the week. In addition to our nightly Happy Evenings—half-price cocktails, glasses of wine, and bottles of beer in the indoor bar from 5 p.m. to close—we offer several additional specials:

• Half-Off Tuesdays: Half-price bottles of wine every Tuesday during dinner service
• Ladies Appreciation Wednesdays: Women get half-price appetizers and drinks on Wednesdays during dinner service
• $30 Date Night Thursdays: Groups of two dine off of our $30 Date Night Menu on Thursdays, getting two drinks (wine, cocktails, and beer included), two appetizers, and two entrees.
• Girls’ Night Out: Nightly specials for groups of women, featuring $5 appetizers and half-price wine and cocktails

3. Inexpensive Lunches
Our Under $7 Lunch Menu features more than 20 of our best menu items each priced at $6.90 or less. It is served Tuesday-Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
